I'm amazed...I thought that except for the US and Sierra Leone, the whole world was metricated completely. A few exceptions remain for historical and tradition reasons, e.g. track events such as the mile run and marathon. The US gallon has 4 quarts, the Canadian gallon has 4 liters. We still occasionally read of accidental deaths in hospitals due to mix up in units of measure. The US you probably remember was supposed to start metricating in the 1970's but that project was killed by Reagan..As a result we have a mish mash of both systems, mostly English units. Fortunately school children are focused on the metric system. Repairmen need two sets of tools. Someday maybe, we'll be totally converted to the common sense metric system..

I never knew there were British inches and Danish inches and why, pray tell, did you design your font system with 72 points per inch... any inch.
