I have a lot of pics to go through before I will post more on my trip to the Restoring Honor rally. I will say that for me & my good friend it was our Woodstock, except ours has much more meaning in the whole scheme of things. And there were a lot more people at the Restoring Honor rally by a factor of at least 4 IMVHO.

I saw the Restoring Honor on TV. It was massive, and I'd love to have been there despite my dislike for crowds. I expected, and was pleased that the grounds were left spotless after the crowds left, unlike the Sharpton rally and the last inauguration which truly trashed the mall.

Don't people notice things like this? They try to make the Tea Party and disenchanted people at this type of rallies seem like the devil incarnate, but they insist on acting like the decent human beings that they are!

Our country is GREAT because of people like this. And we will prevail.

Please note that many thousands of people were streaming OUT from the rally while many thousands continued to stream in at 12:28 PM [rally began at 10 AM]. The foreground shows where 10's of thousands of people sat. In front of them is the WWII Memorial which was packed. Next is the Reflecting Pool, then the Lincoln Memorial where the Restoring Honor speakers are.

On my other thread, Neeka asked, "Did anyone in the crowd get riled up over those disgusting signs?"....

About this picture.

My response;

Yes some did, but no one accosted, verbally or physically, the assholes in this pic blocking THE ONLY pathway for a couple hundred yards in a massive crowd of folks on the move. Some confronted the assholes asking them politely &/or curtly to allow people to pass. The vast majority of folks were riled about the disgusting signs & their rude behavior, but expressed it in a quite appropriate manner. IOW, the MSM would have been sorely disappointed.

Interesting story. As you can see from the picture, Dave & I weren't too far from them. We were stuck where I took the pic for 15 minutes. I finally told Dave to let go of the wheelchair. I began to push my way up to them assholes with the full intention of wheeling right up to them one at a time & asking them to allow me to pass. And if they didn't move after several polite admonishments that I had a right to freely pass through I intended to just push forward slowly until I pushed them out of the way.

As I made my way I told the folks what my intentions were & they gladly moved aside to move forward. Then one guy got in front of me & began shouting please move, we have a guy in a wheelchair coming through. That sped things up a lot.

When we got about 10 feet from them the folks surrounding them finally got them to move aside.

DRATS!!!
