So does the BIBLE Not exactly - while the Old testament is rather dark and rath this and that the new is a bit more forgiving love your neighbor stuff. The Koran on the other hand starts out all nice nice and gets meaner and more violent as mohammed got older - just like old liberals that never see the errors of their misspent youth and naive ideals. More to the point - Christians have a leader with a "direct" line to god to fix things as time goes on - sort of a living bible (think of the constitution you like to re-interpret) and the Muslims have no single leader to have God tell them some stuff is to be de-emphasized - even the Mormans hear new info once in awhile.
