RJA, this thread knows more that a few journalists and financial-adviser shops bundled together.

we also know that we are back to when land was the source of wealth.

When Brazil decided to get a firm grip on deep oil, they were compared to Chavez.

Now decide to get a grip on farmland (they stopped making it long time ago as the Jews say) they are compared to Zim?

I can recognize people barking at the wrong tree...

Last week, the Brazilian government let loose a sudden, “immediately binding” mandate that effectively outlawed all foreign ownership of domestic farmland…eerily similar to the Zimbabwean farmland coup.

Jan. 2010: My finger is thick of typing to buy Brazil and the farmland suggestion is Faber's?

...

I have been telling MQ to drop his tech love since it is food materials. I hammer about water supplies.

When I was begging people to go there and buy, you know what Carranza told me here?

He told me a was propaganda boy for Brazil.

Now those Brazilian donkeys finally wake up, raise red tape and people tell they are wrong?

US foreigners acquire land: For United States federal law, it is the obligation of the foreign reporting the acquisition of land to the Secretary of Agriculture of each federal unit.

In New York, for example, the alien must become a naturalized American to own rural property. In Virginia, allows only possession - not ownership - to a foreigner who is resident for more than five years.

In Iowa, where land for agriculture can be traded freely, the land for agricultural production may not belong to persons not resident in the state.

In Missouri, land devoted to agriculture can not belong to foreigners. If people from other countries will be owners of agricultural land, the state gives two-year period so that the properties are traded. Otherwise, go to public auction.
