One more point about my friend Dave;

It is now Tuesday afternoon & I still feel like a truck ran me over. Granted, the trip [left late Fri afternoon & arrived home Sunday evening] was far more activity than I normally do in that time frame. Still, my good friend Dave never once complained.

Consider that once we got to the Mall the front wheel on my wheelchair jammed & it bent the wheel & the rubber came off the wheel. We had no tools so Dave had to manhandle the rubber back on the wheel. There was nothing we could do to straighten out the bent wheel so it made pushing me much harder. Because the wheel was bent the rubber kept falling off about 10 more times as the day wore on. Each time he had to manhandle it back on.

Dave was nonplussed by this. It was his first time in DC & his first time to a rally, so he gladly pushed me for miles & miles to see as much as possible.

I was so proud of his selflessness I took him to a nice Chop House in Rockville Saturday night I spent $230 on drinks & a fine dinner.
