I started out investing with beads, long hair and bell bottoms......I guess you can say the older I get I've become a bit conservative.

I'm not and have been careful about predicting any levels. I simply don't know.
Yes emerging markest can diffently have a 'ball and chain' effect on our economy. Barron's over the weekend had a few articles and one had the % of sales of companies to Asia alone. Natually, that could impact those companies earnings for a couple of quarters, which would then translate into their stock price.

Unfortunately for me, and just to show you just how bright I am, Ascend is on that list. But hey, the price looks good to me and the products are compelling for me to take a position at this time. I figure it will pay off over the next 18-24 month's. OF course I didn't take a full position in it. IF it goes down further, I'll add some more; rise some, I'll add somemore until I get to my target number of shares.

Although you think I maybe advocating doom and gloom of the Dow, I actully think it a buying oppurtunity. I also feel that stocks in the US are probably ahead of themselves in the valuation department by a year or two, so I think that a healthy correction is in order and a year of single digit or slightly negative growth in price is probably in order to accomplish that correction. Hardly gloom or doom, but a belief that valuation is high.

At any rate, looks as though today is an up day so it wasn't another repeat of last Monday.

Peace (wow my memory is still intact)

qdog.

PS: sure you don't want to invest in my dog biscuits?? Great stuff!!
