Yes it is. We did fail to mention the obvious in addressing your previous post. Everything positive from revenue growth, revenue/employee, approaching profitability, etc. about Softquad in the last 90 days, whether initiated by management, SWEBF's analysts, including but not limited to Softquad's Annual Meeting presentation and last week's preliminary Q3 numbers, are primarily attributable to the Kurzweil product line. Go one step further. Back out all Kurzweil numbers and what is the story? SQ basically would not have been able to have had their upbeat annual meeting and concomitant Globe and Mail article with postive analyst comments...

It simply does not make any sense management would be setting themselves up, as in going out of their way, for a huge fall...Softquad sustained a huge setback with HoTMetaL 3.0 and HiP. The shareholders are now (they have no choice) hanging their hat on Alpha (Kurzweil)... There simply is no (short-term) story should SWEBF now announce they lost Kurzweil...Let's put it this way, SWEBF will lose the street for, at least, 3? years, which is why we suggest it be put in play. The 'in play' story: Legacy, Data Becker and the promise of a huge and substantive (HoTMetaL 4.0/5.0.../WebFiler) Present Value, market share paradigm?

Data Becker.

"...During 1996 DATA BECKER in the UK will transform itself from being solely a development biased software house into an aggressive marketing company..."
data-becker.co.uk

Questions shareholders should be concerned about and asking:

1. What are the long-term implications of Data Becker' (above) corporate objectives to Alpha and Softquad (SWEBF)?

2. Is this alliance, which was negotiated by the same Kurzweil/Alpha/SQ management team any stronger than the pending and fragile Kurzweil/L&H alliance ref/ Fiscal 1996 SE Form 20-F risk warnings?

Again, hopefully, these (and more/all?) issues will be addressed in a timely and responsible manner pursuant to this week's official Q3 numbers release.
