Ted, > Do I think the incidence of racism is higher among tea baggers than the general population? Yes.

Completely false.

Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton, and the throngs they lead are just as racist.

Do I think the incidence of racism is higher among tea baggers than the general population? Yes.

1 - There isn't any good reason to think that. In fact the limited evidence seems to indicate the opposite.

2 - Unless its A LOT higher, there isn't any good reason to make it an issue.

he fact the movement is 99% white

1 - False - Gallup's data show 79% "Non-Hispanic white". 6% are "Non-Hispanic black" (Which is lower than the 11 percent in the general population, but is actually higher than would be expected considering the voting habits of American blacks).

2 - Almost irrelevant to the charge your asserting. Are the NBA and the NFL shown to be racist against non-blacks since black people exceed their percentage of the population by so much? Does the fact that non-Hispanic blacks are in major league baseball in a smaller percentage than their percentage in the general population mean that the MLB is racist againt blacks (and does the fact that they used to be in MLB in a higher percentage then in the general population, mean the racism has reversed?). Or moving away from sports does the fact that more women then men are getting bachelors degrees mean that universities are sexist against men?

People from different racial (and other) groups are going to belong to different groups in different percentages. Examples of that are not evidence of racism (or sexism etc.).
