MBTI is basically a model for how the brain is wired - brain centers are located in different places in different brains, and if two centers are close, they communicate a lot, and the position of the ego decides, which brain centers it prefers to act upon. The MBTI tests are attempts to measure this, but the older people get, the harder it gets to measure it, because people learn all the time, and this knowledge messes up any questionnaire on this topic, even though the basic MBTI type does not change.

MBTI explains what decisions people prefer. However, it also explains what causes stress with people, and best of all, it explains what kind of decisions and observations people are almost not doing. If your world perception and your N thinking center is far apart, like in the case of an INTJ, you will probably not spend time on innovating on your appearance. It's that simple. That is why an individual will NEVER realize the full situation, and a group of individuals using the same MBTI type, won't either.

If you have a group of people, with the same or very similar MBTI types, things can go very, very wrong. I believe that many dot com startups were started this way, but the same applies to health care. Improving communication is good, but if two people communicate perfectly with each other, it may be a sign that they miss something very important.
