This has NOT been the hottest decade in world history. It was warmer during the Medieval Warm Period and during the Holocene Optimum than now. ---------------------------------------------------- As for Pakistan, there have been massive floods before all over the world. People live in flood plains in many places because the land is flat and fertile, but when floods happen people suffer. Islands are disappearing in the Pacific as the oceans rise. No, they aren't. Icebergs the size of Manhattan are breaking off from Greenland and Antarctica on a regular basis. I hope so. If glaciers didn't calve icebergs eventually we'd have glaciers covering Chicago again. Glaciers calving icebergs is NORMAL. Global warming is upon us. Be afraid......be very afraid. They want to scare people so they can get a political program enacted. Right now a guy who believes the same stuff most other liberal greens do is acting on his mistaken beliefs in Maryland. He's a liberal nut from British Columbia. The fear-mongers should be held responsible for this in the court of public opinion. Message 26793329
