I'm looking to add a utility. I own ED. I'll take look at D, SO and NST. D has been on my short list for a while. My local utility is POM. Does anyone have an opinion on POM?

dabum: yes, CL, CLX and GIS are all candidates for the next round of position building. As a former smoker who's mother had lung cancer, I can't bring myself to invest in MO or PM despite all of the many financial reasons to do so -- similar to why I decided last year NOT to invest in BP as I've explained before. Have you looked at DSM? Muni CEF that has been paying monthly divvies lately... and some cap gains thrown in, too. I've also been looking at REITs and there have been 5-6 mentioned on this board that looked interesting. Am going back to find them now. Jim
