I started keeping track of this group of stocks for the week ending 6/06, and have continued on a weekly basis. There were 40 stocks when I started, now there are 37. Three had to be dropped since they were "discontinued", so no further data was available.

I have resisted the urge to add more stocks to the "index" because the effort in doing that tends to be high. By keeping the same stocks, the weekly update doesn't take much time. After reviewing the results of the last several months, I think the outcome is what I had hoped for when I started. That is, to provide an overall indication of how the semi-equips are doing as a group as well as a comparison against each other.

The "index" has shown the tremendous volitility of this group during the past few months. I am sure it will continue in the future. The trick is to get in "sync" with the rhythm.
