Let me take B first, since it is easiest -

at 18 : 1 trailing p/E, and > 30% rev growth per year, a set back is priced in. Average would be a 22-24 p/e and perfection wold be an over 28 p/e.

C. That's a real good question.
One short answer is index funds.
The second set of buyers is the "growth at a reasonable price" crowd.
The third answer is that as more people use Apple products, they become fanbois / fangurls and some will buy the stock.

A There used to be some degree of gap in Apple products, now there is a slight overlap. Note however TWO different major categories - iPhone and now iPad.

I expect the degree of switching cannibalization is under 20%
just a guess on my part.

There are some benefits (economies of scale) from parts list over lap, from infineon chip sets to NAND flash

Also, the iPod touch just became a Wi-FI video phone.
