Buck, the market is headed lower next week due to turmoil in Asia, Latin America, Russia, and Indiana. It will rally later on when it is claimed by some bond pundit that the Asian slowdown will lead to a slowdown here, which will lead to a decline in jobs which will lead to higher unemployment numbers which will lead to lower interest rates which will lead to better bond prices which will lead to better stock prices. Also think about this. You are a citizen of the universe, and you have financial assets. Who you gonna trust with your money. Japan or Switzerland, right? Welcome to zero or negative interest rates. Anywhere else but the US? Welcome to inflation and currency devaluation. Here we got your basic safety, we got your low inflation, we got your strong currency. There's a good reason that the rest of the world invests here. And if there is a global or Asian/Latin/Euro recession, what do companies still spend money on? Ways to cut costs of employment, ways to beat fraud, ways to offer something the competition doesn't have, ways to prevent/detect crime which always goes up. Ya gotta love the macro environment for IDX now. By the way IDX has been anything BUT dead money for the last year or so. How many times could one have bot at 8 and sold at 11????? This stock has charted like a sine wave for the last six months or so. Well, not totally, but lots of money has no doubt been made by those who have caught the swings.
