Over? I just started yesterday. Could be this:

1. Slow computer
2. Slow connection
3. Slow server - heavy traffic
4. Bottleneck on the web somewhere

The videos are streamed like YouTube. Screencast.com is optimized for video playback, that is one of it's main functions. There were a million Jing users back in Feb 2010, it has grown since then, I never seen any complaints on the Jing blog.

No one else has complained on SI or iHub about slow videos.

You could try a cold boot, shut the computer off and turn it back on. Some people never turn off the PC and you can get memory leaks in the browsers and they can become unstable. Sometimes just closing the browser and opening it will solve a lot of problems.
