I'm not familiar with Ayotte. Supporting Sotomayor shows lack of conservative principles, but running in a purple state I can see why she might have made that decision. I guess the good news is that CBS, Mother Jones and HuffPo all said that Palin's support was bad for Ayotte which suggests to me that she is competitive. What do you think?

The political center is further to the left in liberal states and further to the right in conservative states. Blue Dog Democrats or Red Dog Republicans, it boils down to the fact that all politics is local.
