The Republican party has been overrun by right wing hoodlums who, by assuming the Tea Party name, insult the nobel objectives that the original Tea Party stood for. While we continue to hear moderate Muslims being criticized for not speaking out against the Muslim terrorists, I do not see the Republican moderates speaking out against the extremists in their party either. When McVeigh bombed the Murrah center, I did not hear the Christians evangelicals and Christian church leaders speak out against the Aryan movement etc. But we should expect these moderate Muslims to speak out instead!!! I am posting some of the campaign promises that Bush made during the 2000 campaign so that we can compare what he said then against his record. Notice this is from a moderate Republican website. It is about time the moderate Republicans cease and desist from singing the same tune as their extremist party members and instead work towards restoring the glory days of Ike and Kennedy. The Tea Party has driven the nail in the coffin of the conservative movement. Those days of intellectual luminaries like Willaim Buckley, Ted Olson etc. are a thing of the past. These are the days of high school grade level leaders like Palin, Beck and Limbaugh. Do you ever hear these folks quote from literary luminaries and Nobel Laureates? All I hear spewing from their mouths is fit for a swipe with toilet paper. ======================================================Rhetoric & Reality Origins & Goals of the Bush National Security Strategy and the War in Iraq ....contd at republicansforhumility.com
