Had it been a run of the mill housing bubble, my house probably would be worth more now. Unfortunately, it wasn't a run of the mill housing bubble. Had I known the truth......that everyone had been scamming for years under Bush...I probably wouldn't have bought. But then, Seattle's doing much better than most of the country. You keep saying that but its not true. Utah is doing much better. Utah's unemployment rate is considerably lower than Seattle's. And our employment rate was up around 9.5% for nearly half a year and only started to come down this year. Houses in SC are even more of a bargain now than they were when I wanted to move there. Southern rednecks don't bother me Ted - I don't fear them. You see....you've told me all I need to know. Making a good profit on real estate is more than just getting a good price although that helps. Its way more complicated than that. That's why the hee haws on the RE thread are so afraid right now and screaming the sky is falling. Good luck in SC.....you will need it.....the rednecks notwithstanding.
