Bernie,
There are no guarantees to trading. But tenacity, motivation, and persistence have always been helpful for me.
Actually, after having read Wm. Eng's DAY TRADERS MANUAL, I think that I can see that the Elliott Wave Theory is so much like reading fetal monitor strips, and reacting very quickly. At least I won't have to 30 other things at the same time as is hi risk ob challenge.
Trading is an artform, most definitely. Persistence will help me find out if I am able to develop a successful style.
Best of luck to you.
Cricket

Bernard,

Really enjoy your exchanges with Crocket and others on this thread. I currently daytrade (Soes) trade at Polar Trading in Michigan. We have one of the nicest facilities in the country and will be offering remote trading in the very near future. I have been daytrading for a couple of years now with great success. Soes trading is not for the faint of heart. Somedays I really scale back on the number of trades I do because of lack of direction and or volume.

I just wanted to say that it IS possible to be very profitable daytrading. You just need to be very patient and wait for the opportunities to present themselves. I have seen hundreds of traders come and go since I started trading. For those who succeed in trading their is no better profession in the world. I get great enjoyment out of making a winning trade. A great trader will not look at trading in terms of dollars but in terms oppotunities. I do not chase stocks. I let the opportunity present itself and jump all over it. If you would like to talk more regarding trading, drop me a line.
