Excellent post. Agree strongly with you. You were willing to put a lot more energy and time into a response than I was. <g> Did a much better job. Only thing I would quibble w/ is I think most Street analysts focus on a basically 3-12 month time frame, with primary empahsis out to about 3months. Whereas, on SI, my obversation is that it thends to be a barbell distribution. Very few focused on quarterly/yearly type performance (which the mutual fund managers live on. What we have is a whole lot of day to week type traders, maybe a month. Who post very frequently. And then also, at least on certain threads, long term investors who intend to hold (whether they do or not) for multiyear periods. Regards, Doug
