Indeed - and I had the good sense to be in Rarotonga just in case. Note that nobody was killed though quite a few people had narrow escapes. One bloke fell off a ladder and hurt himself helping out with some clean-up effort. Falling off a ladder or roof is a more traditional way of being injured or dying in NZ than by earthquake.
