How much evidence to you need, Tim?

To think that the world has gotten warmer since the end of the little ice age? I've already seen the evidence. Its really solid, basically beyond all reasonable doubt.

To think that the world is in very recent years getting warmer, or alternatively that the last few years are just a short term blip against the trend, and soon the world will resume getting warmer, and not just warmer, but much warmer, and that human emission of CO2 is the overwhelming cause of this waring, and that the warming will cause disasters like those shown in Al Gore's movie, but that if we institute cap and trade, or a carbon tax, we will prevent the disasters, and at the same time only cause minimal harm to our economy? I would need massive evidence, while what's been shown has been slim to none.

Somewhere in-between those two points? Depends on exactly where in between. "Global warming", and even more so "climate change" is way too broad an idea to really answer your question for the subject as a whole.

As for the supposed evidence in your post, its about weather not long term climate change, and it includes a statement about the coldest July 4th you've seen. It doesn't even amount to evidence for just about any important point relevant to the climate change issue.

This summer has been the most bizarre summer I have ever experienced, following a nearly as bizarre winter. July 4th was the coldest July 4th I have ever endured. I have had the heat on this summer more than the AC.

LA had temps in the 70s last week and expects to have temps in the 60s this week. That never happens....Sept. is supposed to be LA's hottest month. Temps in the 80s and 90s are the norm. Moscow had the hottest summer in its history. Twenty percent of Pakistan was under water from historical flooding. Iowa was under water for most of the summer. My friends in Germany had to turn on the heat last week.....in August.

The idea that every temperature variation, even variations BELOW normal, is something abnormal and dangerous is only a tribute to the marketing skills of the fear mongers.

Weather variations ARE normal.
