The HC issue was enough to turn Ted Kennedys seat to R. You can always find polls to support a position. It depends on how the questions are asked. The gen populace were in favor for reforming healthcare. They were not in favor of the bill that went through or how it was done.

Don't be silly Neil. The Kennedy seat turned R because the woman running against Scott Brown was an idiot. She didn't think she had to campaign. And Brown wanted the position badly and was willing to work his butt off to get it. And it didn't hurt that Brown was prettier than his opponent.
