That spirit and the beginnings, is what I'd like to see. And I like that kids from another state are coming to work on it. and... ya, that it had houseboats??? amazing. and all lost, though hopefully to be regained. The people who pumped in that salt water were more powerful. and feeling powerless can be self-perpetuating. yes, that feeling has to be broken before people can take the power to do what is right for themselves and their community AND the enviroment. each small victory builds on the next. You know what I like is that a good ole Midwest boy, Brad Pitt, is helping to build low income, ecologically sound housing in the 9th ward. So many people have stepped up and it makes me proud.
