I don't know anyone who works but doesn't have healthcare who is unwilling to get healthcare if it is possible to do so when making minimum wage. and it will cost a lot less than invading Iraq, oh, that wonderful war people were so excited about.

Neil:

My characterization of the tea party is grounded im my thought process based on what I see on TV (seeing is believing) and what I read in the media (by the way, I watch FOX news too). The reason I say that the tea party is a rag tag party born to oppose our President is because it was formed close on the heels of the election of this President. Additionally, when I hear tea party supporters claim that they came together out of frustration with what is going on, I don't believe it since there was nothing going on immediately after the 2008 elections. Instead, things were on a tailspin during the final year of the Bush term. Why were they not frustrated then, is what I wonder. Besides, party membership is close to 98% Caucasian. You think all the Hispanics, Asians and African-Americans are satisfied?

And when we see that they are congregating in large numbers to listen to Beck and Palin, you wonder if these folks are on a right track when they suggest that Palin and Beck will do better than the current President and some other folks in DC.

Actually, if the Republicans take the leadership of the Congress, I will welcome the news with mixed feelings. I will feel good because now the ownership for failure will be a joint one in 2012. I will feel not so good because we are going back to the days of gridlock which will be more pronounced now because of a largely caucasian Congress dealing with a African American President. Whoever says that we are racially neutral, cannot differentiate their head from their toe.

Sometimes, it does help to be blunt along with the hope that such bluntness will cause the people to get off their butts and get going.
