I've enjoyed that show, but sometimes I'm amazed at the value people place on things. A movie poster might be worth more than a document with George Washington's signature on it. I don't get it.

Antiques and collectibles are a pure free market. It's worth what somebody will pay for it, no more, no less. It's also a very fluctuating market -- some things are double what they were 10 years ago, some things are half as much.

I'm an antiques dealer by the way, so I very much enjoy those shows. I think Rick Harrison (of Pawn Stars) is a soft touch on camera because he doesn't want to look greedy to an audience -- he wants them to come on in.
