I think there are good reasons to discuss ideas of evolution and how the reality of evolution can be assessed in a philosophical framework. The history of earth and the evolving of species from bacterial forms is obviously a FACT. It must be accepted. Likewise, it is pertinent to entertain and debate the possible existence of supernatural beings. However, rational people must know where to draw the line...

Discussing an imaginary being--who has deep interests and feelings and prejudices...and other mortal and conditional attributes--while defining (gratuitously) such a being as omnipotent, omniscient, omnipresent, etc.--is really beyond childish! It is actually moronic to the nth degree! Might as well praise parents for drowning their children--or excuse drunkards (and consider them "most beloved"--for raping their daughters (Hello, Lot!) :-(

If humanity wishes to invent a Supernatural Being and discuss Her, Him, It..then they should invent one that can exist within the laws of reality! This is not 5000 BC when diseases were caused by demons and cured by a "priest" packing sins onto a goat with 89 (magical and brumarific) legs and an IQ to match!! :-)

Good post. I guess we've moved into the Age Of Reason. We don't need to think that "God" is craving the sweet savor of smoke (which obviously goes to His home in heaven)--because it disappears somewhere! :-)

And remember that a mortal, conditional, "God" will always be AFFECTED and THREATENED by events. If their feelings are "hurt"...they WILL become IMPOTENT!! :-)

Don't ever try to build a tower to reach "heaven" (these stories are referenced by the great thinkers and writers that we follow every Sunday! How much did their heroes know!!! They wrote a story (or God did!) about an ALMOST successful access to "Heaven"!. (and then we all spoke a different language! OH!! So that's why!!

They were about 74 feet off the ground!!! TOO CLOSE FOR COMFORT!!!

CHUCKLE, CHUCKLE, CHUCKLE!!!!

But God STOPPED THEM!!! They were SOOOOOOOOOOO close....!!!! :-) :-) :-)
