Just where would you expect to find an article aimed at warning patients that they might not be getting the best guidance re the health of their arteries? The NEJM? Yeah, that would reach the soccer moms...

Its seems like more and more on SI, almost everyone's point seems to be the other sides source.

Present an argument someone placed on the internet, and its "who cares its from A who has ideology B" (or "C who is funded by D", or "E who doesn't have the prestige of my source F". etc.). Present a claim, you get asked for a link, present a couple of links and the links supposedly doesn't count because they don't ideologically agree with the person who's discounting them.

It seems that's the idea of actually addressing real arguments is going away, now its all about who says something rather than what is said, whether this takes the form of ad-hominem, or an argument from authority.
