Mohan, this "bug" may/may not have an effect depending on the media perception and coverage. The users who are affected are the ones using Pentium systems for "public" accounts where user programs are allowed to run. Most likely, small ISPs (not Netcom, AOL,,,) and univ./colleges who allow students to run programs. Percentage wise, it is a very small number effected (less than 1%) of the over 200M Pentium/MMX chips installed base. Also, there can be many software workarounds to this problem, as well as policy workarounds. But, I'm sure, Intel will handle this properly.

However, I'm hoping for an upgrade or two this week which should bring Intel stock back in the 80s!
