Yes, it is all so childish. Dinosaurs were the dominant macro species for millions of years (there were and are innumerable dominant micro species!). There were no such animals as human beings--ZERO-ZILCH-NADA! It doesn't matter what Luther believed--or Hitler, or the Hurons, or the Maori. We have developed an extensive and comprehensible biological history of life. Humans are a recent upstart in the battle of life forms for existence. And we have a long way to go to equal a fraction of the durability exhibited by many other species--living or dead! This is not speculation. It is COLD HARD FACT! When we explore and contemplate the awesome universe in which we were gifted to spend a brief moment...we ought to do so with a proper rational regard for these FACTS!
