No, I'm not saying anything that vaguely resembles that, but nice try at attacking a straw man. I'm not saying anything about any constitutional requirements being negated. That idea has no connection to my post whatsoever.

You say I don't trust the policy decisions the political process would arive at (you specifically worded it as "What you are REALLY saying is that you do NOT TRUST the policy decisions that you THINK the American public will ask for!"), well of course.

You don't trust the voters and process either.

If you thought they would produce good results, then you could trust them not to run harmful deficits, but obviously you don't.

Its not like we get a different set of voters, simply because a BBA is passed. We get voters who vote for big spending politicians. After a BBA we also get voters who vote for big spending politicians. Big spending + BBA = tax increase.
