What is his standard of judgment? The metaphysically given."> And literally EVERYone who studies and observes such things agree on {the truth of} evolution of one kind or another... OTOH, those that DONT, but rather read the bible and take it literally of course have a different take... and THEY are the most boisterous about the topic, interestingly enough. The vast majority of those studying science and accepting evolution have little interest in the emotionality behind the fringe argument on creationism and evolution. As usual, the truth slowly and quitely reveals itself... no wacked out book thumpers are needed, although they may show up as in all walks of life. Further, this yelling and screaming about creationsim and the falsity of evolution is based on a construct the "believers" CAN'T observe (unlike evolution), it's simply the words in a book. The difference is MASSIVE, and the mechanism of their understanding is telling. For them it's chosing one book over another, period... and of course they have choosen the bible... it was done in childhood. For Darwin, and most that study the topic of evolution or even basic biology, it's a much deeper understanding of the way things work. In FACT, early on, the realization that evolution happens (or earth around the sun or any other miriad of scientific discoveries), the choice to "believe" evolution occured as the truth became so obvious to those observing that they had to (painfully) reject their previous mindset and the words of the bible and church.
