But just TRY to eliminate farm price supports, or the special tax breaks for oil/gas, coal, nuclear's free disaster insurance, etc., etc. and HEAR THE HOWLING that will come from the guy who's ox is getting gored. <GGG> Re: "We need individual tax cuts and massive spending cuts." I THINK that 'what we need' is a constitutional amendment REQUIRING BALANCED FEDERAL BUDGETS and a massive tax reform/simplification effort to slash all the loopholes and 'special tax preference items' that have corrupted the tax codes. Then, loopholes removed, give us one simple and fair income tax rate for all, taxing ALL INCOME (regardless of source!) at exactly the same rate.
