Possible Approaches for Bear Market: (I'll try not to get my thoughts mixed up with Bob's, but I can't guarantee that all of these are Bob's ideas) 1. Sell and go to cash. 2. Buy a mutual fund that shorts the market. 3. Don't sell current holdings, but sell SPY short. 4. Sell everything plus sell SPY short. 4. Sell everything and buy puts. 5. Ride the bear market out. 6. Sell short against the box. 7. ??? I can't remember any more right now. Bob was not recommending any of the above, only giving the possible actions. Best wishes, I2
