He made the summit at 1:30 this afternoon and then came all the way back down, last part in the dark. Sent an "I'm okay" message from his SPOT at 11:00 at the Portal. He's now on his way back to L.A. He said the winds were blowing around 70 MPH, which made sleeping up there a little difficult.
