The term, "margin securities", includes: 1) any debt or equity security listed on or having unlisted trading privileges on a national securities exchange, 2) mutual funds; 3) OTC margin bonds, meeting criteria specified by the Board; 4) any OTC stock designated by the Securities and Exchange Commission as qualified for trading in the national market system; and, 5) any U.S. or foreign equity security included on the Board's List of Marginable OTC Stocks or list of Foreign Margin Stocks, both of which are published four times annually and available at the Board or from any Federal Reserve Bank. Looks like the SEC designates which OTC securities are listed in the NMS. The FRB enforces lending practices by brokers, since the extension of credit on collateral is a "bank-like" function. The good news is that NMS status is sufficient, and we won't have to wait for publication of the next List. The bad news is that soon we will have to deal with the posts of retail short sellers on this thread. Tokyo, I know why you posted this link. It's because you are a member of the Trilateral Commission (along with Elvis and Charles DeGaulle) and you intend to steal the children of everyone who sent an E-Mail Friday and force them into a white-slave / chicken enchilada factory in the basement of your restuarant. If you say I'm crazy and paranoid it just proves that I'm right. To the rest of you, I haven't flipped, it's just that TMex has been getting some flack on the AOL MF board from someone (again) who has figured out (so they think) that TMex is just running some sort of stock scam. Tokyo, dont let it get to you, some people have obviously been educated beyond their intelligence. Zebra
