I live across the street from a middle school and was surprised to hear their P.A. system every morning right at the start of the first class. This has never been done in the 30 years I've lived here. They are reciting the Pledge of Allegiance.

And yes, you are right, we could be flying it that way all the time if we did it for each soldier who is killed.
