Masons comes to mind but that is just one example and kind of skirts the point, which I don't believe is really debatable.

The Takeyya doctrine was composed in the context of being a captive in war and that is how it's original application was intended to be interpreted. I realize people twist religious doctrine and corrupt it to justify just about everything but that is beside the point.

We both know that if a Christian soldier is captured in war he would not be likely to say... oh you want to know where the other soldiers are ok well.. my best friend is over there behind the bush. A granade will work. If you have a shoulder lauched missile aim it at that tree about a thousand yards out and you will get the captains bunker. Next question...

No he wouldn't do that, he would lie to the enemy if he thought it would save his friends or prevent his own torture. That is the authentic context of the Takeyya.

Do you know any used car salesmen that are Christian? Do you know anyone who doesn't lie when it benefits them? I don't, I have searched a life time and found my self standing alone on the commitment never to lie. I never lie.
