They where supported by logically applying specific claims. Numbers are irrelevant to the logic that generates the overall conclusion. They are relevant to some of the specific claims built in to the argument, but the specific claims where not disputed. If one of them where to be disputed, then it would be time to break out the numbers.

Do you dispute that wind doesn't generate at its rated maximum capacity anywhere near as often as fossil fuel plants? That's an issue of numbers, but I didn't present them, since the point isn't reasonably in doubt and you didn't challenge it.

Other points, such as the general roles of electricity production, base load, peaking power, etc. are also claims of specific fact, not logic, but they are not really a matter of calculation, they are just how the industry operates. If you have a totally different paradigm that you think would work, feel free to submit it.
