Well Don they think fossil fuels will last forever. Of course they won't and that's not the issue, IMO. I'm ALL FOR removing ourselves from dependence upon fossil fuels if the process doesn't place undue and significant economic consequences that put more people out of work. If alternative fuel vehicles are more productive than FF, then the marketplace will dominate the process and eventually make it happen. The gov't role is to make sure that monopolistic corporations don't use their market power to prevent that change. I'm heartened to see, for instance, more emphasis being given to Thorium fueled reactors. This, IMO, is an energy source who's time has come. Subject 56072 Hawk
