IMO, anyone who truly imagines this so called 'F0' bug is on the order of the Pentium Floating Point Addition bug isn't thinking clearly.

The Floating Point Addition bug produced erroneous results with no warning, thereby rendering suspect all floating point calculations.

The only way to restore confidence was to correct the problem and do a massive recall, an expensive proposition.

A novel way to crash a computer via an illegal op code just ain't the same kind of problem as it in no way calls into question the validity of calculations under "normal" operating conditions.

My opinions only,
Gerry
