Having sold real estate for 18 years I will tell you how to pick a realtor, read the person for their knowledge and honesty. Forget titles.

Yes, a buyer's broker is just a realtor in drag. In our state the realtor always represents the buyer if they are not doing both sides of the deal. The only way to ensure an honest competent person is to be able to read the person.

If you are not that good at reading people then simply pick a liberal realtor-lol. You will only find about 1 out of 5/10 is liberal.

It takes a person of great moral courage to walk away from a huge commission when it is in their clients best interest.
