Jenna, picks as per your request, 11/09/97 In keeping with this months theme, I offer the following cornucopia of stock offerings, hopefully with no turkeys included! Slice them up, serve 'em up, they should do well! Again, this week I have included some prices in parenthesis. IMHO we will test the lows again of last week. History dictates that. Thus these prices would be excellent buying points if they hit. All stocks below show positive growth potential for the short and long term. Thus profits can be maximized if the market does dip, to test the lows. Stocks with positive breakouts: CAKE (27.5) BORL (9) TRL(29.5) HMA(22 3/4) Value investing (stocks beaten down or below lsq line): GNT (43.5 btw..up 3 points + from last recommendation) DATM (18.5) TNM (11 1/2) NBTY 20.5 MONE (28) GHV (25) *WIX (5.5) Undervalued Growth stocks: OEA (38) FFEX (9) CKP 15) WIN (37) *WIX (5.5) RSC (10) MCDY (watch) Stocks common to reports: These are stocks that show up on my searches and have multiple listings under different search criteria. All selections are looked at via TA for entry points. They may be viewed as excellent long term holds. CKP (15) CHKPF *WIX (5.5) MONE (28) FFEX (9) *WIX: This is a very interesting story. Harvey Eison of Prudential, who loves small caps, recommended this stock on Wall Street Week Friday night. The stock showed up on my searches this weekend. As for Harvey..He recommended RLLY (Rallys hamburgers) right after I did, in September at just under 3.00--its now over 4.00. Cant argue with Harvey! Nor the money I made on RLLY! I also like the following tech's for short term plays: QNTM, (really beaten down), COMS (same thing) and AXC; CEO just made a huge purchase himself, stock had been thoroughly trashed this last year, perhaps he knows something??? Trading just above book value. Also: UFEM; stock trashed the past several months, just off lows, on Thursday signed a MAJOR agreement with Wall Mart. Agreement calls for distribution of their product from 400 western stores to entire US Wal Mart (app. 2300 stores --do the math!). Personal favorite: TPRO, Very positive news to come shortly -- buy (if you can at 6 +/-) As with your selections Jenna, my searches are "moving" from tech areas into financials, oil services, and retailers, and grocery stores (see WIN, and ABS). This list is indicative of that trend. With this in mind, retailers such as NAUT (27 1/4), HERB (23) and KM (13) may be attractive for the upcoming seasonal shopping. $BILL ps: Thanks pal for the extra help! *grin* -- ya know who you are!
