in many places they just account for deliveries, people entering and exiting. Security is a poor name for the function.

Token would be a good term.

If they are Black, they are probably affirmative action, token hires. It's no secret that this commonly happens.

It's a common, routine practice. Blacks cannot compete with Whites, that is why affirmative action and EEO laws exist.
