i don't know the details on open/close times, but i know hk is 12 hours ahead of a north american time zone (is it eastern or pacific?), and that hk and japan markets close in the middle of the day for lunch.

Dont hold me to it...but I am pretty sure Japan closes 1:00AM EST and HK closes 3:00AM EST...check the final quotes times just to make sure. I noticed the U.S. futures sometimes dont really start moving until early morning maybe to get a feel for wall streets reaction to overnight news etc...Good Luck
