I saw a segment on Fox early on Sunday I believe. John Fund of the Wall Street Journal commented on the birthers & Obama's religious beliefs as well as the many crack pot theories about Bush.

He said he has a 20% rule. He said that there's about 20% of the population that will believe just about any crack pot theory that comes down the pike. He said that he considers it a political problem when more than 20% of folks believe the theory [which meant that Obama's religious beliefs are a political problem].

I think his 20% rule holds water.
