Yousef,

just like 7 months ago, there are NO AMD/Cyrix servers.

My speculation is that when a buyer asks for a "server", he is willing to blow some serious bucks. If "server" companies added a $1,600 hammer, nobody would notice. There is no pressure to keep prices competitive.

Most people don't know what a "server" is doing. They don't know that the server is actually just another PC with (or without) some additional features. Buying a server is like going to a shrink. It has a lot to do with how you feel about it.

If your network crawled before, and now you "upgrade" to a "high performance" server, and the network still crawls, you feel good. You did all you could by blowing some $20,000.

There are many PCs that act as servers, that use Pentium chips. There is no reason for not using AMD or Cyrix in those computers.
