I don't even know if it's really going to help Google that much. Well the device manufacturers, since they don't pay for OS R&D should do OK. As long as they can maintain margins competing with every other flavor of Android smart phones. Lots of growth ahead for Apple and the 'droids. I will bet on Apple but we should remember Google is a far more innovative company than Microsoft. Real competition, Apple can't rest for even one upgrade cycle. So far so good. JMHO.
