Carl,

I don't think this bug will bring down Intel stock severely, however, I do think a lot of people are potentially affected by it in the same extent that a lot of people are vulnerable to other malicious acts (like virae).

These people have few choices: upgrading their hardware is probably the only safe one. That of course will bring more money to AMD, Cyrix and Intel.

I'm not a short-er. For the stocks that I do have, I'm long.

WRT to Intel: I'm anxious to see their reaction. Even the FDIV bug brought them money in the end, so I'm not that frightened for their stock.
