In NZ it's illegal to threaten to kill or to incite others to kill. By promoting the Koran ideology, that is inciting to kill. That's illegal and perhaps even unconstitutional. Treason - the intention and promotion of overthrowing the constitution [and in NZ's case The Crown] is also no doubt illegal in the USA. <There is no question that the Quran is a book that incites violence against Jews and Christians and any other religion. The problem is the freedom of religion and even if Islam is a satanic religion still you can practice it as long as you do not go and kill because those teachings. > It's strange that somebody who threatens to burn a book which threatens to kill them is considered beyond the pale but the actual proponents of the book are not. Freedom of religion would be given short shrift. If Islam is an okay religion, then why does anybody care that a Moslem shrine is built in the vicinity? Heck, if the religion is okay and no problem, then let them buy the Twin Towers site and built it right there in the middle of Ground Zero. If it's not okay, then arrest the proponents of it and put them in the penitentiary. What people won't admit is that Islamic Jihad is a world conquering political ideology and that the ideologues mean business. Jihad is an intrinsic part of Moslem ideology. Moslem beliefs are not your garden variety religious superstitions quietly aspired to like Hinduism, Bahainian and Buddhism. It's not pacifist like Jesus ideology.
